I am moving to a new condo.

If any of these components stops working when you have the door open the door won t lock. Sometimes called the washer s door hinge the door lock assembly has three key components. I am not sure i understand the question but if i have a preference i would like for it to swing to the right as you face the machine. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating.

As the washer is in operation it begins to leak and the only way to stop it is by pushing in the left side of the door hinge side. Again if i push the hinge side in the leak stops but the tension of the hinge pushes the door away from the seal. The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation. So i do not know how the door swings on the washer that is there now.

Door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically.
