Laser cutting rubber or elastomeric materials often produces slightly charred melted or burnt edges.
The following are suggested laser cutter configuration settings for various materials.
Power settings that are too high can melt and distort many materials.
Consideration should be given to edge quality when selecting laser cutting for gaskets.
Use your machine s air assist mode while engraving.
Ensure that you select the following settings in the printer driver.
All settings noted use the default resolution which is 500 or 600 depending on the make of your laser system.
When using cermark metal marking solution remember that not all metals use the same speed setting.

Stamp the engraving layout will be automatically mirrored and inverted.
Rubber here we fall back on the tested laser parameters from our material database.
Observe the following precautions.
Enter the size of the stamp you intend on engraving.
If you would like to use silicon rubber draft your file so that your art board matches the standard sheet size of 900mm x 600mm.
Adjust speed and power settings as needed.
Laser engraving or cutting rubber or polymer can possibly ignite the material.
Never leave the laser system running unattended.
